1 Protecting You Privacy

1. LMSC.com.au, LMSC Publications, Local Media Services Company Pty Ltd and all it’s subsidiaries are 100% commited to providing you with the highest level of service including the protection of your privacy.

2. This policy aims to set out a number of principles concerning the protection of your personal information in relation to LMSC’s activities.

LMSC commits to principle 3 of the Australian Press Council Privacy Standards. This principle states:

Readers of publications are entitled to have news and comment presented to them honestly and fairly, and with respect for the privacy and sensibilities of individuals. However, the right to privacy should not prevent publication of matters of public record or obvious or significant public interest.

Set out below is information that the Privacy Act requires LMSC to communicate to all users of the web site.

2 Personal Information

1. We may hold a variety of personal information about you, which may include your name, date of birth, current and previous addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, your LMSC password or PIN used to access material on the web site and certain details about your personal interests.

2. Occasionally you may need to provide personal information in relation to other individuals to LMSC. If this is so, we rely on you to inform those individuals that you are providing this information to LMSC and that we can be contacted to provide further information. (see contact us)

3. On some occasions, should you choose not to provide certain personal information to LMSC, we may not be able to grant you access to certain areas, content, products and services of the web site.

3 How We Collect Personal Information

1. LMSC collects personal information about you in a number of different ways including:

• - From our own records of how you use LMSC services, the web site and the content and services available from the web site

2. LMSC will also collect personal information about you when you access and use the web site.

4 How We Collect Personal Information From The Web Site

1. When you visit lmsc.com.au our web server records anonymous information such as the time, date and URL of the request.

2. LMSC may also use “cookies” on the web site. Cookies are an industry standard and most major web sites use them. A Cookie is a small text file that the web site any place on your computer. 1. You have the right to access any of your personal information we may hold, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would like access to your personal information that we hold please contact us. We may require you to put your request in writing.

2. LMSC reserves the right to charge a fee for searching and providing access to your personal information.

8 Children’s Privacy

1. We ask that people under the age of 18 years obtain a parent of guardian’s consent before accessing or using the web site or before purchasing any products or services from the web site.

2. We make note that it is ultimately the parents and guardians responsibility to monitor their children’s internet usage.
