LMSC Crew Writers & Reporters

David MacRae (Director) - As a rugged forward pocket/back pocket/bench warmer ‘Dmac’, as Macrae was affectionately known by the fans, enjoyed brilliant success in the Northern Suburbs Social Football League. Tragically his career was cut short, however, by chronic lack of skill.

Sport is a way of life for Macrae, that has effected every part of his life from an early age, the Perth derby between East & West Perth and Leederville Oval his earliest sporting memory way back in 1983.

David has vast experiance in project management, marketing and commerce, with 10 years of investment and commerical banking under his belt, he decided it was best to find himself a soul and get out in the real world and make a difference.

Rebecca Townley (Events Manager) - Bec is LMSC’s Project & Promotions Manager. When she’s not hanging out with hot models she’s running around in short skirts. Bec is a resident shooter in the Fremantle Netball Association Saturday league and she plays the game the same way she does with everything else, hard & fast.

She’s often using the feet on the end of her sexy legs kick the rest of the crews butt’s into gear. Usually because their all standing around watching sport, drinking beer or watching sport.

With seven years experience in corporate finance under her belt, Rebecca is well suited to handling the complex and often difficult scenarios the rest of the crew managed to create!

James Broadhurst (Brand Development) - Broadhurst’s sporting prowess was evident from an early age when he was picked for his primary school’s football team. It was at the subsequent carnival that his skills shone through…actually he only got one kick and that was a free kick his teammate was unable to take due to injury.

A gifted all-round athlete Broadhurst also starred for the East Fremantle under 11 cricket team in season 1988/89. His top score of 28 not out came against an attack that included 2 girls. It is an innings that is still much talked about today. By him.

Later a stellar career in sports journalism followed and he now writes about the racing industry despite having never ridden a horse. James is also our broadcast host for many of our live events and games includign SBLtv and the WNBL and NBL.

Melissa Ferguson (Sports Writer) - Melissa (Frizz) was brought up to love sports and knew cycling tactics, basketball rules and everything footy almost before she learnt her ABCs.

After several years in retail, Melissa realised she could combine her love of writing, storytelling and sport every day and get paid for it!

So she now has a degree in Communications with a major in journalism, that we hope will her to bring you the sports news of the day with as much professionalism and expertise she can muster.

Dave Herbert (Game Day Production) - Former coach of WNBL side the Townsville Fire, Herbie as he’s well known, took the Fire all the way to the preliminary final in the club's second season, earning himself the WNBL Coach of the Year award in 2002/03.

Dave is now the head coach for Perth's WNBL side but will continue to make cameo appearances on LMSC basketball broadcasts.

Scott Hood (Game Day Poduction) - Former super coach of SBL side Wanneroo, Scott or Hoody as he’s known to the rest of the world, is LMSCtv’s very special comments man for our live weekly broadcasts of SBLtv. Hoody has proved to be one of the most entertaining of the LMSCtv crew thanks to his inside knowledge of the Bball game and his not so sharp wit.

Lachy Reid (Game Day Poduction) - The number one name in WA sports media, Lachy often cameos as our host of SBLtv. Much to the dislike of James, Lachy’s dulcet tones brings LMSCtv’s SBL game of the week productions to a new level. As a member of the Western Front duo with Tim Gossage, he is one of the most recognised sport media personalities in WA. We hope to see more of Lachy on future SBLtv broadcasts.
