More Injury Worries For Eagles
Thursday 7th January 2010
West Coast Eagles youngster Tim Houlihan has been dealt a pre-season blow with news the 20 faces a delayed start to the new year.
The club confirmed on Wednesday the Vitorian wingman has suffered lacerated foot during a recent return trip home to his native start.
In what the Eagles are describing as a “domestic accident”, the incident that was suffered during the Christmas break has prevented Houlihan from resuming training.
He will undergo tests on Thursday to determine the extent of his lay-off.
Houlihan was drafted in 2006, was a 3rd round selection and went for pick 43 and made his AFL debut against the Adelaide Crows in round 9, winning 20 disposals.
His injury adds to the Eagles list of pre-season ailments with premiership defender Beau Waters (knee) and youngster Luke Shuey (hernia) and Eric Mackenzie (shoulder) requiring surgery.
